This winter season has given me a chance to reflect on the opportunities that I've been given over the past few months. During these colder weeks in New England, us Photographers are typically slower since we don't have as many outdoor photo-shoots going on. I've spent my time gearing up (literally–I can't wait for my new lenses) for the fast-approaching 2016 wedding season! I'm so thankful for the 12 amazing couples, so far, that have chosen me as their Photographer for their very special day. I can't put into words how excited I am to share these magical moments with each and every one of you!
I mainly wanted to write this update to share some of the projects that keep me busy at my full-time job. This is going to be a pretty lengthy post. Although most of my followers know what I do for my 9–5 professional career, few get to actually view the work that I'm producing daily! When I'm not editing photography, meeting with clients, and shooting–this is what I'm working on. I'm a Junior Designer at a flash-sale fashion company called Rue La La and design new advertisements for their Marketing department. I work through various channels like Instagram, Facebook, Gmail, and Pinterest to create an engaging experience for our new members. Check out some of my favorite design projects below. Side-note: the imagery for these ads came from our in-house Rue La La Photography Studio. Gorgeous, right?!
I'm very proud of everything that I have accomplished at Rue La La over the past 1.5 years. It's developed my skills in not only Graphic Design, but Marketing and Photography production/editing. Most of all, I never thought that I would understand Photoshop as much as I do now (I am such a nerd).
I've also had the chance to bring my camera in and add 'Photographer' to my Rue resume, which might be the most exciting moment I've had there! Our projects are incredibly fast-paced, and that means we need our Photography even quicker. We have a professional studio downstairs and the awesome Boston scenery outside, so our team took full advantage. We borrowed knick-knacks, purses, and puppies from around the office and created our own photo-shoots. I had the chance to Photograph some great brands and our Social Media team liked my pictures so much that they featured a few of them on the Rue La La Facebook and Instagram pages!
Then lastly, I wanted to share some of my all-time favorite Photography from the photo-shoots I've shot at Rue.
