This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous lady for her senior photos! Colt State Park in Bristol, RI was the perfect backdrop–A little beachy mixed with some beautiful greenery. And we just happneded to pick the perfect overcast day. We had so much fun (maybe too much.. I don't think we stopped laughing!) while taking your pictures.

Have a wonderful senior year Katelyn! Enjoy a few of my favorite shots from our session.

Lauren & Kyle's Wedding

8/18/2018

Comments

This past weekend I had the chance to meet and photograph the most wonderful couple! Lauren & Kyle contacted me a few months ago regarding their wedding day, and I couldn't have been more excited. They were completely different than the usual couple that I photograph and decided from the beginning that the typical, big wedding thing just wasn't for them. These two have the most perfect love story that all started while they were students at Brown University in Providence, RI. They now live across the country, but decided that Providence was the perfect place for them to tie the knot. After years of planning, the day was finally here, rain or shine!

Their intimate ceremony took place
on Blackstone Boulevard in the Old Trolley Shelter–A unique stone structure surrounded by beautiful shrubs and trees, located just outside the busy city. A handful of close friends and family members filled the chairs as candles, succulents, and flowers adorned the makeshift, stone altar. After their beautiful ceremony and some portraits, we made a quick stop to Brown University to the same street where Lauren & Kyle first met and years later got engaged. Their journey together seemed to come full circle as they stood, hand-in-hand, on the same street where it all began.

I had such a wonderful time capturing these memories for you Lauren & Kyle–Thank you so much for letting me (and Will) share in your emotional, beautiful wedding day. I'm honored that you chose me to capture these special memories for you!

This weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Becca & Anthony's beautiful engagement photos at Narragansett Beach in Narragansett, Rhode Island! We stepped onto the beach just as the stormy waves were rolling in Saturday night. These two were such a joy to capture and I even had the chance to meet their adorable fur-baby. Congratulations again on your engagement and upcoming wedding day!

Katie & Cameron's Wedding

7/21/2018

Comments

From beginning to end, Katie & Cameron's wedding day at Harbor Lights in Warwick, Rhode Island was absolutely magical. We began this sunny, gorgeous July day at the hotel where their bridal party was getting ready–The ladies in one room and the guys downstairs in another. Katie's sister played a big part in her special day by applying her makeup and then helping her into her gown. Once the details were in place, we began our short drive to their venue! Harbor Lights is the most beautiful spot for a wedding day by the ocean–A ceremony space overlooking the sparkling water, a gorgeous marina in the distance, and a modern, elegant ballroom filled with windows to take in the view. A venue like this one makes my job as a wedding photographer incredibly fun–There are so many amazing places for photos!

As soon as our groom arrived, we took him to the marina to set up their first look. Cameron decided to bring his fishing pole along, which was the perfect addition to their nautical-themed photos! Katie arrived at the dock, and you could just feel the excitement as she walked towards her soon-to-be husband. Cameron turned and saw her for the first time, and they both lit up with happiness. These moments are so incredibly special for me, because they're always filled with such an intense, raw emotion. The guests haven't arrived yet, there's no audience–Just two people who can't wait to begin this new chapter together as husband and wife. I've had a few brides mention that this is the moment when their wedding day really started and they felt that it was real. It can also be one of the only times when you get a minute "alone" together all day!

After a few portraits, guests began to arrive and it was time for their ceremony to begin. Katie and her Father smiled and laughed the entire walk down the aisle. The lovely couple exchanged rings and vows and even had a sand ceremony to honor the special day. They were finally pronounced Mr. & Mrs. and celebrated with a kiss as their loved one's cheered around them. Then it was onto the real party.. the reception!

I'm so lucky to have this "job" and I'm thankful each time I photograph a special couple like Katie & Cameron. To capture these precious moments is an incredible honor and I love being able to tell each unique love story through my photography. Congratulations again you two and thank you so, so much for letting me celebrate this wonderful day with you!

Kristen & Arthur's Wedding

6/23/2018

Comments

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to capture Kristen & Arthur's gorgeous wedding day! I was able to spend some time with this adorable couple at Megan and Rob's wedding last November, and I was super excited when they wanted to book my photography for their own wedding!

The morning went by in the blink of an eye! We met with Kristen and the girls at their home for a few getting ready pictures. By the time we arrived all of the girls were just finishing up the final touches. Kristen stepped into her dress and instantly transformed into a princess! Her mom and sister helped button her gown, while her bridesmaids looked on and snapped photos.

Within a few minutes, we were on our way to the Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church of Whitinsville for their ceremony. Guests filled the pews while Arthur excitedly stood at the alter waiting for his beautiful bride to arrive. The bridal party made their way down the aisle, the flower girls threw their rose petals, and the doors opened for Kristen's grand entrance. Their ceremony was filled with the most beautiful, Armenian traditions and their hearts were filled with the most genuine love. The guests cheered and applauded as they were finally pronounced husband and wife!

After capturing some photos on the gorgeous church steps, it was time to drive to Crystal Lake Golf Club in Burrillville, Rhode Island for their reception. It was a race against the rain, and luckily we won! We had a couple of sprinkles, but thankfully we were able to take their photos outside. When we arrived we shot some family formals and portraits with this adorable couple–Then it was finally party time! They had so many personal touches throughout the night, including their super cute, custom Star Wars cake topper. These two had the most wonderful crowd to photograph and the dance floor was packed the entire night!

I had such a great time celebrating with Kristen & Arthur on their big day. They're such a beautiful couple and it was an honor to capture these special memories. Wedding Photography has taken me to so many different places, but at the end of the day, it's all about celebrating the ultimate commitment and once-in-a-lifetime love between two people. With every photo I take, I recall the importance of capturing these memories for future generations. I'm so incredibly lucky to share in these moments and to meet couples as amazing as Kristen & Arthur! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your amazing day and congratulations again!

Cooper's Preemie Journey

6/18/2018

Comments

The 2018 wedding season is in full swing and I’ve been busier than normal lately! If you didn’t already know, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in January! Cooper was born 6 weeks early after I developed severe preeclampsia. It was a difficult, exhausting road for all of us, but we made it through! We spent 16 long days in the NICU until our preemie was healthy and big enough to come home.

Fast-forward to June. Our tiny 3lb newborn has transformed into a chubby 13lb baby in the blink of an eye! After everything the two of us had been through, we're now completely healthy. As a first time Mom and photographer, I had to do my best to document his amazing journey–To capture these precious memories with our little guy. Here's a post with some of my favorite pictures of our strong, adorable preemie!

"Hold him a little longer,
Rock him a little more.
Tell him another story,
{You've only told him four}.
Let him sleep on your shoulder,
Rejoice in his happy smile.
He's only a little boy,
For such a little while."
❤️Mommy & Daddy love you so much Coop!

Cheryl & Melissa's Wedding

6/16/2018

Comments

Yesterday was a very special day for me! I had the opportunity to photograph not only an amazing couple, but to celebrate another family wedding–My (second) cousin Cheryl and her new wife Melissa! I was honored when these two asked me to photograph their big day for them. They chose Blissful Meadows in Uxbridge, MA as their venue, which I’ve had the chance to photograph a few times before. The grounds are gorgeous and perfect for wedding photography.

Something special about this beautiful couple: Cheryl and Melissa are both on the Uxbridge, MA fire department. Which was incorporated into their big day in so many ways–Including their amazing cake from Wright’s Dairy Farm & Bakery, adorable, custom cake topper of them with their two dogs, and even booking an antique fire truck for some pictures! After getting ready, these two exchanged their rings at an outdoor ceremony in front of the beautiful gazebo. Melissa even surprised Cheryl with her grandmother’s ring during the vows. It was such a special moment in their lives and you could see just how incredibly happy they were to finally tie the knot and officially be Mrs & Mrs! You can also see how excited both of their Mom’s were to share in these memories (I love the photo of them walking down the aisle together!).

After some portraits outside, they were ready to dance the night away at their reception. Their party space was set up beautifully–Their awesome cake on display, custom rainbow lights behind their sweetheart table, and a gorgeous rainbow flower arrangement on every guest table. They began the evening with an emotional first dance under the twinkling lights and their Friends and family soon filled the dance floor to celebrate this special wedding day with them.

I had so much fun celebrating alongside our family for this wonderful event. I wish Cheryl & Melissa the very best in their future together as a married couple! They are so incredibly sweet and deserve many, many, many years of love and happiness. Thank you so very much for letting me capture these memories for you! Here are some of my favorite photos from their wedding day.

Danyelle & Cody's Engagement

6/3/2018

This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Danyelle & Cody's engagement session! I was super excited when I booked with these two for their wedding photography a few months back. I researched their wedding venue, The Spencer Country Inn in Spencer, MA, and all of the pictures online looked gorgeous. I have to say, I was blown away when we drove up to the property to meet Danyelle & Cody for their session! The venue itself has so much New England charm and character. It's the perfect spot for any vintage, romantic wedding. The grounds are equally as impressive with views of rolling fields and picture-perfect trees. There were endless spots for pictures and photographing this session makes me even more excited for their 2019 wedding day! Here are a few favorites from our photoshoot.

Congrats on your engagement Danyelle & Cody!

Michelle & Jeremy's Wedding

6/2/2018

Comments

After a few years of photographing weddings, you'd think I'd be immune to the emotions of the day by now. Each wedding is generally the same, right? You spend the morning getting ready, you tie the knot, and then you throw a big party afterwards with your family and friends. If being a wedding photographer has taught me one thing, it's that this special day is so much more than that. Every couple in front of my camera has traveled a completely different path to find love. This amazing day is a physical way to honor that journey. Each wedding that I photograph is like a beautifully written story book that I'm piecing together one picture at a time. Love is a language that all people can understand–Whether it's five or ninety-five years from now. Hopefully through my photos, I can capture these precious memories and bring them to life.

When I first met with Michelle & Jeremy last year, I couldn't wait to experience their wedding day alongside them. They're such a warm, loving couple–You can't help but smile when you see these two together. We talked for a while about how they met and what they envisioned for their big day. Their love story really hit home with me, because they had been together for 9 years before getting married, just like my husband Will and I had. There's no other feeling in the world like marrying your very best friend!

We started off our day at Michelle's family home. After I photographed some of the details, it was time for Michelle to step into her dress. One of her sisters (and maid of honor) buttoned her dress, Mom tied on her beautiful belt, and her other sister helped with her jewelry. Less than 10 minutes later, Michelle was transformed into a gorgeous bride. We stepped outside for a few pictures with the girls before the limo ride to the venue.

When we arrived at their venue, T.J. Smith's Victorian House in East Bridgewater, MA, we met up with Jeremy and his groomsmen for some formal photos with the guys before the ceremony. Michelle's father and Jeremy even took a shot together to celebrate! Guests filtered into the sunny, charming space–Anxious to see Michelle and Jeremy finally tie the knot. Tears filled Jeremy's eyes when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time (I love the photo of his reaction). To be honest, tears filled my eyes too! They exchanged rings, said 'I Do' and finally shared an epic kiss to seal the deal. They were officially Mr. & Mrs.! After they ran down the aisle, hand-in-hand, it was onto the formal pictures and portraits. Although the outdoor square footage of T.J. Smith's is on the smaller side, there are still so many wonderful spots for photos! The venue itself has so much charm and character as well. We even ran into the street for an adventurous sunset picture–which is maybe my favorite shot from their wedding!

Congratulations again Michelle & Jeremy! I had such a wonderful time photographing your big day–It was an honor to celebrate your marriage alongside your family and friends.

Sarah & Adam's Wedding

5/25/2018

Comments

This Memorial Day weekend I photographed the most beautiful rustic wedding at Bittersweet Farm in Westport, MA! Sarah & Adam have spent many years together just waiting to tie the knot. They met at a young age and have followed each other around the country chasing their dreams. Technically, they became Mr. & Mrs. a couple of months ago in a small ceremony, but this was their big wedding to celebrate their love and commitment with their loved ones!

Since my last two weddings were rained out, I was trying to hold out hope that this one would be different. To my surprise, their wedding day was blessed with the most beautiful Spring weather! We started our day with some getting ready pictures at the couple’s hotel. The bride and bridesmaids finished hair and makeup and began on the finishing touches. The guys put on their ties, laced up their shoes, and were quickly on their way to Bittersweet to wait for the rest of the wedding party. After I shot some details in the bridal suite, it was finally time for Sarah to get ready! At every wedding there’s so much anticipation waiting to see the bride in her dress–It’s the first moment of the big day when everything comes together and actually feels real. As Sarah’s Mom buttoned her dress, there were constant ‘Ooh’s and Aww’s’ from bridesmaids looking on. How incredibly gorgeous is her lacey, vintage-inspired gown? All of the details she chose for herself were absolutely perfect!

The gown was on. The makeup was perfect. And the veil was in place. Now it was onto the first look! I was thrilled when these two agreed on doing a first look–It’s a great option when you want your first moments together on your wedding day to be more intimate. It also allows more time for photos (which is an obvious plus as a photographer!). As their closest friends and family stood quietly in the background, Adam turned to meet his wife with the biggest smile on his face and tears in his eyes. The way they smile with each other is something incredibly special–I can’t help but be reminded of my own loving relationship with my husband. You can just feel the love between them! After portraits with their bridal party and family, it was time to hide the bride and groom in preparation for their guest’s arrival.

Friends and family filled the ceremony seats and the bridal party looked on as Sarah and her father elegantly made their way down the isle. They read their personal, written vows to one another, exchanged the rings, and shared a beautiful kiss as their guests cheered. After a few more photos it was finally time to start the party! Bittersweet has an amazing reception space with rustic, wood beams and huge, antique windows. As the sun set outside, the ceiling above was filled with twinkling lights while everyone danced the night away.

To Sarah & Adam: I had such a wonderful time photographing your wedding day. Thank you for letting me tell your story and share in this beautiful moment in your lives. I’m so happy for the two of you and wish you all the best in your future together!

Ashley & Kevin's Wedding

5/19/2018

Comments

The royal wedding wasn’t the only beautiful event that took place today! On this rainy Saturday, I had the opportunity to photograph the most perfect Newport wedding for the sweetest couple. I was thrilled when Ashley & Kevin contacted me for their wedding photography last year. From the details that they shared with me, their wedding day sounded like it would be beautiful and I was honored to capture these special memories for them.

Their venue was the absolutely gorgeous Belle Mer in Newport, Rhode Island. Once you cross the bridge onto Goat Island, it’s like you’ve entered into a dream destination. This Newport venue has everything: A perfect seaside location, an impressive event space with massive windows overlooking the ocean, beautifully manicured grounds, and the most spectacular view of the Newport bridge on the horizon. Unfortunately, for the second weekend in a row we’ve had to battle the rain and wind to photograph our beautiful couples. I take the rain as a welcomed challenge and “necessary evil” of wedding photography. You can plan literally everything on your wedding day, but the one thing that’s left to chance is the weather. I’ve photographed 85° weddings in the Fall and 60° weddings in the Summer. One of my biggest tips to brides & grooms is to always have a backup plan!

Regardless of the rain clouds above, Ashley & Kevin couldn’t wait to finally tie the knot! We started our day with some getting ready pictures–Since the men were all at Gurney’s Newport Resort, that’s where we decided to meet. Although it was a little foggy and sprinkling, Kevin and his groomsmen were on board for outdoor portraits. The guys lined up for photos as the seagulls flew overhead and sailboats sailed by. I could not get over how perfect this location was for pictures–It really is a photographer’s dream! Afterwards, it was time to photograph the girls getting ready at a vacation home nearby. Ashley’s details were in beautiful blush, pink, and ivory tones. Her bouquet was absolutely gorgeous; filled with large wildflowers that complimented her lace gown perfectly. The girls helped Ashley into her dress while everyone gazed in awe–She made such a gorgeous bride!

After everyone was ready.. And maybe after a glass of champagne and some laughter, we were finally on our way to Belle Mer.  I was so impressed with their bridal suite– It was large, elegant, and perfect for portraits (considering it was pouring rain by this point). When Kevin arrived at the venue we realized that this might be our only chance to brave the weather and photograph some outdoor portraits. We only had about 15 minutes outside, but I’m so glad that I convinced Ashley & Kevin to make the most of the grounds at Belle Mer. We stationed Kevin in the courtyard with his back turned, as Ashley eagerly approached. Her groom turned and lit up as he finally saw how beautiful his soon-to-be-wife looked. After a few portraits outside, with the fog covering the Newport bridge in the distance, it was only minutes until their vows. Guests poured in (no pun intended) as Ashley & Kevin waited anxiously to say ‘we do’. Their night was filled with gorgeous floral arrangements, impeccable decor, and even a live band to dance the night away.

It was such an honor to photograph these moments for this perfect couple. I’m so lucky to travel throughout New England and capture brides, grooms, and their families as they celebrate two people spending their lives together.

Viviana & George's Wedding

5/12/2018

Comments

The time is finally here! May 12th marks the beginning of my 2018 wedding season. I can’t believe how quickly these past few months have flown by. My last 2017 wedding was in December, I gave birth to our son Cooper (6 weeks early) in January, and now here we are in May!

I’m super excited to be starting off this wedding season with a bang! When Viviana & George contacted me last year, I was honored that they wanted to hire me as their photographer. These two seemed like a sweet couple with an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue to match. Tupper Manor is a picture-perfect mansion located in Beverly, Massachusetts, just outside Boston. The grounds and mansion itself are stunning and offer endless locations for photos.

Unfortunately a few days before their wedding, we noticed the impending rain in the forecast. I always try to reassure my couples that no-matter what the weather we will create beautiful keepsake photos for their special day. There's no weather that could ever keep us from photographing your wedding to the fullest! We may not be able to access all of the locations that we wanted to originally, but we will strive to push our creativity and embrace the rainy weather.

One of the best qualities about Tupper Manor is that The Wylie Inn and Conference Center is located right on the property. This made their getting ready pictures and wedding day travel so much easier. We started our day by meeting Viviana at the Wylie Inn for some getting ready photos. When I arrived, she was just finishing up her hair and makeup while the bridesmaids were getting ready. Her hair was styled into a elegant bun and accessorized with a gorgeous, jeweled hairpiece. Viviana’s sister helped button up her amazing dress, while Mom looked on from the adjacent room. Just a few more pictures and it was finally time to tie the knot!

After a 30 minute drive, we arrived at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Although it’s a cozy church inside, it’s also completely beautiful. This ceremony was a first for me–I had never photographed a Greek wedding before! I spent a few days researching and watching as many videos as possible. I come from a Catholic background so, while there are many similarities, there are many traditional components that I just wasn’t familiar with. George’s sister was amazing to communicate with during the planning process, and had sent me their detailed program ahead of time.Viviana & George exchanged rings and were officially husband and wife.

When we returned to Tupper Manor, it was time for portraits. Unfortunately the rain was pretty consistent at this point, so we made the most of the mansion’s beautiful interior. It has such a classic, romantic feeling, so it wasn’t too hard to find some incredible spots for photos. After their pictures, it was time to introduce the married couple into their reception! During their first dance, Viviana surprised everyone by singing Mandy Moore’s ‘Only Hope’ for George. It was absolutely beautiful! Then it was finally time to celebrate and dance the night away!

Thank you so much for letting me be your wedding photographer and capture these moments for you!
Congratulations again Viviana & George–Wishing you all the best in your future together!

To all of my followers–I apologize for being absent over the last couple of weeks. Complications in my pregnancy ultimately lead me to deliver our son six weeks early. During these weeks I have been focusing my time and energy on my recovery and my son's health while he's in the NICU. As I resume my normal work schedule, any couples who are still waiting on their wedding galleries can expect them to be finished over the next few weeks. I'll also be sending along a special gift for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Our tiny, 3lb son, Cooper James, has already been quite the adventure but we're just incredibly grateful that he's happy and healthy. Will and I are completely in love with this little guy–and hopefully soon (after he meets his milestones) we'll be able to finally take him home with us!
Thank you all so much for your well wishes, prayers, and support!

❤️ Jenna, Will, & Cooper
