Photo Diary of a Cat Lady

When my husband and I moved into our first apartment in 2013, we adopted our first kitten, Gatsby! He's a gorgeous, grey boy with golden eyes and more sass than any other cat around. A few months later we adopted a second little kitten, Fitzgerald (we call him Lil Fitz for short). He's a spunky white/tiger mix who's obsessed with lights and shadows. They're brothers and (almost always) best friends. I love documenting them in my free time. Taking photographs of my two boys is what has inspired me to volunteer at local animal shelters. Each animal sitting in a shelter deserves a chance at a wonderful home. A warm bed that isn't surrounded by metal bars. I want to capture the beauty that's in each and every animal, regardless of size, color, breed, or age.

Here are some recent images of my boys, Gatsby and Fitz!

Here's a little back-story–
When I was around four years old, I told Santa that I wanted a white cat for Christmas. Shortly after, we adopted a beautiful, white kitten named Oliver and he became my baby! I would dress him up in my doll clothes, do my homework on the floor beside him, and photograph him with my tiny Polaroid Barbie camera. That's when my obsession with all animals began.
